Insight Canine Care
I have lived with dogs all my life, and my work with them is grounded in long-term experience, careful observation, and a strong commitment to welfare-led practice.
Insight Canine Care was created to offer calm, thoughtful support for dogs and their owners, with an emphasis on working at each dog’s pace and respecting their individual needs.
Background and qualifications
My professional training spans canine behaviour, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, massage, dog training, and ultrasound scanning, completed over many years alongside practical experience with a wide range of dogs.
I hold the following qualifications:
- Level 4 Diploma in Canine Behaviour (qualified 2017)
- Level 5 Diploma in Canine Rehabilitation and Remedial Massage (qualified 2019)
- Ultrasound Pregnancy Scanning Level 1 Accreditation (2021) and Advanced Level 2 Accreditation (2026), as well as passing the Advanced Course with distinction
- Member of the Animal Ultrasound Association (5 years)
I have also trained as a dog trainer and previously ran my own dog behaviour and training business, specialising in puppy courses through Puppy School.
Alongside my professional qualifications, I have bred numerous litters of dogs and am currently the Breed Health Coordinator for the Royal Kennel Club for Picardy Sheepdogs. This role involves a strong focus on health, ethics, and evidence-based decision making.
A reflective, ethical practice
Dogs are individuals, progress is rarely linear, and good work requires patience, honesty, and reflection.
My approach is evidence-based, dog-centred, and collaborative. I work within my scope of practice, refer on when appropriate, and prioritise each dog’s welfare above all else.
At home, I currently live with six dogs, who continue to teach me every day. I work part time as an A level teacher, enjoying the parallels between working with dogs and young adults!
